I don’t have much to say about the movie Titanic — I wasn’t a fan when it came out, so I haven’t really been thinking about it. It’s just not my kind of movie. But here’s the best part:

20 Cartoon Character Campaign Posters. I don’t know if I could ever bring myself to vote for a human candidate if cartoon characters were an option.
I completely understand how some people do not like the fact that modern book covers all kinda look the same–but shouldn’t we be glad that something like this would never be allowed into a bookstore these days?
What Fark said: “The story about the couple having sex in a museum is now history“
What they could have said: “Security guard at museum finds bone“
I just found out that yesterday was Howard Hessman‘s birthday.
How Will SNL Handle Whitney Houston’s Death? Man, I don’t know. Obviously, this sort of thing is very, very tricky. Given the fact that Saturday Night Live is pretty much a full-on comedy show, the writers are pretty much going to have to employ humor, no matter what they do–if they decide to address it at all.
It would be much easier for them to acknowledge Whitney Houston’s death if they’d stuck to the program’s original format, which made tons of room for serious moments and sentiment in between all the jokes.
It’s possible that everyone in the world has seen this already, but it’s funny so I don’t really care. However, I will say that this is one of those things that I truly, truly hope is fake, because holy shit, and et cetera. {Link via Fazed}
UPDATE: Yup, it’s apparently fake. {via Young Manhattanite}
“There is a way to arrive at common ground, provided we can maintain just basic respect for the integrity of the other side. But we’re never going to get to that so long as opinion leaders like [Jon] Stewart continue to take every cheap shot that comes their way. If progressives are the tolerant ones, by gum, then let them start toleratin’.” {From: Jon Stewart, Stop Hurting America! | The Awl}
Yes: Surely the inability of our nation’s lawmakers to find common ground is largely due to the propensity of liberal comedians to go for the obvious joke.
Just as with real-life relationships, the process described in this article on how to become a “Twitter Superstar” sounds like much more of a pain in the ass than it’s worth. “You should connect with more people!” Why, what good would that do me? “It’ll open the doorway to connecting with even more people!” Ah no. No, no, no.
Facebook wall, that is. We’re… probably going to see a lot more of these sorts of jokes, aren’t we. {via}
